Okay I know I said I would update once a week but now I know that's not gonna be happening.. Cultural fair takes up hours and hours (there's a 5 minute speech, research paper, and display board) to do each day and my teacher says I should try to finish everything before mid-winter break. Luckily I had Friday off because the semester just ended so I could catch up on everything ^^. I updated my profile picture finally so there you go ;P So here are the basic highlights of my week:

Wednesday- It was early release so me, Sam, Taylor, and Hayley decided to hang out at Sam's house (again ^^;) also we wanted to talk about a few things.. Anyway, we were "playing" with the Oujia Board. If you guys don't know what it is, it's this thing that looks like a gameboard with a pointer thing and supposedly when you ask a question the pointer moves around the board (by itself...) and spells out the answer for you. It was my first experience with the Oujia board and wow it was creepy O_o. We asked stuff about what will happen the next day and see if the board was right.  At one point Taylor dropped the Ouija board on the floor and let's just say it got "mad" at us and when we asked another question it said "bye-bye".. and didn't answer a question again till we apoligized to it. So freaky..

Thursday- We all found out everything we asked the Ouija board came true.. o.O;; But anyway enough with about the Ouija board .. it was the day of the all school party. I got to miss 6th period to help decorate the gym and everything. Even though a little bit of "drama" happened at the party I should say.. overall it was fairly fun :D.

Sorry for the lack updates. I only went on the internet once during the weekdays. I guess you could stay I'm sticking to my New Year's resolution ^^; 

Well let's see.. umm, it DID snow at the beginning of this week, but only about half an inch and it all melted by the end of the day -_-. I built a snowman using all of my backyard snow, lol. On Wednesday it was an early dismissal, so Taylor and I went to Sam's house just to hang out for a bit. On Friday at school we had a Martin Luther King Jr assembly. I had to play in the 8th grade band, carry the South Vietnamese flag with Monica for the "flag parade" to show my school's diversity, and was one of the students that had to speak in the assembly in front of the whole school. I was all over the place in the assembly.. lol  After school on Friday, me, Sam, Taylor, Rachel, Monica, and Bridget went to go watch Ocean's 12. That movie was okay, it wasn't that great. Sam, Monica and I didn't get half of the movie, lol. It was confusing o_O. Watching the movie, me and Sam realized that Devon looked like Brad Pitt! lol. Taylor realllllly had to go the bathroom in the middle of the movie but she didn't want to miss any part of the movie, so she was like literally squeezing the chair handle thing during the movie. When the movie finished, she ran super fast to the bathroom, lol that was funny. Then we waited for Taylor's dad to pick us up to go to her house. In the car we were timing how long Monica can go without talking because she is very, very, very talkative. And she could only go for about 10 seconds lol. At Taylor's house we ate dinner first then we stayed in her room and started talking about random stuff. We started playing DDR but Sam had never heard of it! So all 5 of us started teaching her how to. Monica had a long list with like 100 phone numbers of the people in our classes so we called all the guys that we knew and started talking to them. Some of them we even prank called, we talked with a southern accent and pretended we were from Mississppi, it was so hilarious hehee. Then Taylor's dad drove us all home at 9:00pm ^^.

I'm going to update once a week now because we're starting the "Cultural Fair" project here at my school, and it's going to 3 months to do. Basically, you choose a topic that is part of your family culture (heritage, family interests, family history, etc) research it, make a speech, and a visual board. On March 15th, all the projects are being displayed in the gym for Cultural Fair Night for parents to see. My topic is going to be about my Vietnamese heritage because that's a huge part of who I am. ALL 8th graders have to do it and its worth about 1/3 of your 3rd quarter history grade x_X. So yeah, as you can see it's a very, very important and huge project. Well anyways, hope you all have a great 3 day weekend :D.

Yesssss.. a new layout finally! What you've all been waiting for right?? lol. I've been on hiatus for what.. 3 months? So I hadn't made a decent layout in awhile. I've been meaning to do a layout on Final Fantasy but somehow I never got to it before x). Anyway.. for more layout info, look on the right.

So let's recap quickly on what's happened here. Winter break has been so stress-free, no homework =)! But then.. coming Monday, all of my teachers are assigning projects x_o. On Christmas Eve, my family and I had to go to my dad's friend's house for a party. To be honest it was so boring. I didn't know anyone there, and all the 'kids' were like either 5 years older than me or 5 years younger. So I had to sit there for 6 hours doing nothing but refusing food offered by the adults. It's weird but I don't like eating around strangers, especially adults.. Then when we came home from the party my cousins came over and we stayed up watching old Christmas movies, and counting down till it was Christmas like it was New Years, lol. Christmas Day; I didn't open all of my presents till around 10pm, heh. It was such a busy day, I had to go to three of my aunts and uncle's houses. It was fun though :], exchanging gifts, play games, chatting.. and just nice to be around all of your family with the holiday spirit and all. And yes of course baking cookies! I just love decorating the cookies, rather than eating them xD. Umm, overall the presents I got were clothes, shoes, handbags, gift cards, manga books, assessories... and earrings for my newly pierced ears :D. Speaking of which, I got my ears pierced a few days before Christmas, and to my surprise didn't hurt at all =P, lol. Felt like a tiny pinch. I meant to get them pierced when I was younger, but I guess I was too chicken x).  

Reminiscing...
Wow, less than two days till 2005! A brand new fresh start =). I'm so excitied and I'm still thinking of my New Years Resolution. I've gotten to know a lot more about true self even changed to just be an overall better person. But of course there's always more to learn. I realized who my real friends were but I made a lot of new friends too. As the saying goes, make new friends but keep the old :]. I've gotten more closer to my parents, before I always tried to keep my distance I guess you could say =P. 2004 has a lot of ups and downs and but it has been an exciting year. So many great memories.

Hey everyone ^^; !!

I'm not back yet, many of you wanted me to update, since it's Thanksgiving break I just wanted to make a quick recap for whats been happening the last month or so :]. For those of you who always wondered what I looked like.. you can see I posted up a picture ^^. Yes, I know I look like a dork ;P. Anyway.. these are the main highlights so far..

October 31 Halloween - Went trick or treating with Kari and Anna! heehe so much fun x). That was probably the last time I will go trick or treating.. we'll see next year ^^. We got sooo much candy, about 20 pounds worth! Good thing it wasn't so cold unlike last year. It was around 15-20 degrees! But I hope it'll get cold enough around December for snow :D. I didn't want to eat all that candy I have so I gave it about half away to trick or treaters & my cousins hehe.

November 10 - This was the day before Veteran's day and we had this huge assembly at my school where several veterans visited. The 8th grade band had the honor of playing songs like The Star Spangled Banner, America the Beautiful, and the songs of the 5 branches of the military. During rehearsal my teacher was really worried because we were messing up so much ><; But in the assemble we all pulled it off and did an awesome job! We got so many compliments from the parents and veterans :].

November 16 - Parent / teacher conferencing x_o. My parents made me go along with them -_-. At my school all the teachers are sitting around the gym and the parents line up to talk to the teachers. I got my report card and got all A's ^^. My parents didn't really talk to the teachers, they took about 30 seconds just listening to the teachers saying all well I was doing in class. I thought that was a waste of time lol. Because we were waiting in line for soooo long for each teacher.  

November 18 - My birthday! hehee turned 14 years old :D. It was a school day so I didn't really do anything special. But my friends sang to me like every 5 minutes, it was so embarrassing lol. Even my teachers sang for me (by themselves)! XD. I got several gifts from people, so I thank those of you again :]. Because of my grades my parents got me a digital camera (since I've been wanting one for so long.. lol) for my birthday. It's also for me to use on the trip to Washington D.C in April :D. My uncle gave me Macromedia Flash MX which I'm still trying to figure out to use for my next layout ^^. And I recieved The Sims 2 (!!) from my aunt, and it's sooo awesome! For those of you who have played the original Sims, Sims 2 is a million times better! lol It's completely different.

November 25 - Thanksgivng of course :D. (And happy belated birthday to Irina!!) My mom had bought a chicken instead of a turkey for Thanksgiving because they ran out of turkey at the grocery store, lol. But it's all good though :]. Every year all my family comes to my house because my mom just loves cooking the dinner hehe. So much yummy food but I barely ate anything though ;P. Once again all my little cousins bombard my room, lol. Oh well I'm used to it by now x).

Well I hope all of you are doing great! Sorry if I haven't commented you in a long time, I'm trying my best. I'm not really sure when I'll be back "officially", we'll see :].
